Browsers: BlackBerry 10 vs. Windows Phone 8 (HTC 8X) vs. iPhone 5

By | December 20, 2012

With both platforms fighting for the third position in the mobile operating system wars, guys from the GadgetMasters made a brief comparison of Windows Phone 8 and BlackBerry 10 web browsers.

If you don’t feel like watching the video, BB10 won in pretty much everything, including the HTML5 test as it scored 485 points compared to Internet Explorer’s 320.

In addition to that, BlackBerry 10 also beat the new iPhone 5, indicating they RIM does indeed have a superior web browser, at least for now.

Is this enough to make you switch?

“won” except that it loaded the html5test page faster… i guess the fact that the pages were previously loaded by the phone and in cache didn’t get mentioned in the video.. (as you can see when typing it in to the browser, the history opens up).

or i guess how the BB10 loads a terrible and zoomed out version of the site..

on the youtube page for this video (which apparently every blogger feels like copying…) the author says that these sites were viewed before.. and the WP8 gets an error.. so either the author of the video knew the error was coming, or didn’t decide to “try again”.. sounds like real solid reporting to me…
