Flashblock is a must have for firefox for me. Not only because of flash security flaws (adobe/macromedia's fault), but because they are heavy and intrusive most of the times, and when you want to see them if you can just click. Or even better, if the website is filled with them and you want to see them all always, you just right click one of the placeholders and select "allow for this site", reload and there you go.
