New Internet Explorer 8 Ad Campaign Begins

By | June 8, 2010 | 6 Comments

In effort to strengthen Internet Explorer 8 position in the market and raise people awareness, Microsoft has launched a new ad campaign.

Here’s what Microsoft had to say about it:

We learned that, just as it is online, it can be hard to tell the difference between the scammer and the real thing. We filmed a lot of people and nearly all of them were convinced our “bank” was the real deal.

Microsoft Pushes Hard with Internet Explorer 9

By | June 3, 2010 | 22 Comments

It looks like Microsoft IE team tries to do its best to make you forget about Internet Explorer 6/7 mess.

In the recent update (May 2010 IE Platform Preview), it was announced that Internet Explorer 9 is now fully HTML5 and CSS3 compliant, or that’s what MS wants you to think.

According to test results, IE9 was the only browser to pass all HTML5, SVG 1.1 2nd edition, CSS3 media queries, CSS3 borders & backgrounds, CSS3 selectors, DOM level 3 core, DOM level 3 events and DOM level 2 style tests.

Firefox 3.6.3 managed to score 100% in the DOM level 2 style test as well.

Either Microsoft “forgot” to include Google Chrome 5 Final or it was not released by the time browsers were tested.
