Opera 10.60 Alpha
Today, Opera Software has released an alpha version of Opera 10.60 web browser. Promising final release sometime in summer, not only they managed to improve browser stability but also increase its performance and add a couple of new features.

JavaScript rendering engine is 50-75% faster than in Opera 10.50

Tab Phishing
Now here is a clever one.
As Mozilla Firefox creative lead Aza Raskin describes it, the attack is as elegant as it is simple: A user has multiple tabs open, and surfs to a site that uses special javacript code to silently alter the contents of a tabbed page along with the information displayed on the tab itself, so that when the user switches back to that tab it appears to be the login page for a site the user normally visits.
Even with NoScript plugin installed, users were still vulnerable. Fortunately, May 27th update fixes that.

Google Chrome to Android Extension
Here is a nifty extension for Android 2.2 and Google Chrome users.
You can now send links from your web browser directly to your Android device using Cloud to Device Messaging service.
As for other platform users, there is always a mail.

Opera Pokes at Google Chrome Speed Test
Couple weeks ago, Google came up with Chrome speed test video. Well, today Opera Software has released their own version of it, featuring Norwegian potatoes and Opera web browser itself.

Opera Mini for iPhone: 2.6 Million Users
It appears that Opera Mini for the iPhone is doing really well.
According to the Opera’s most recent “State of the Mobile Web” report, browser is already more than 2.6 million unique users.
That makes Apple iPhone the 3rd most popular device running Opera Mini.

Google Releases Chrome 5 Stable
Few days ago, Google has released the final version of Google Chrome 5 web browser, tagged as version 5.0.375.55, for Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
Besides more than just a few security patches (6), they managed to fix a handful of stability issues as well.
Chrome 5 brings browser preferences and bookmarks sync, HTML5 features, updated bookmark manager and more.
