While Firefox team is working on Firefox 3 it’s still important to fix various bugs in the Firefox 2 web browser. As a result, Firefox 188.8.131.52 was just released which fixes the following security issue:
Today I was looking for some cool skins. It took me less than to find great looking skin for Firefox web browser, it’s “Blue Ice“.
However, I haven’t found any great looking skin for Opera and don’t know why. Am I too picky? Or just used default skin for a very long time? I’ve tried some of the Editor’s picks but… Most of them there very old ones or just didn’t fit “my style”. Would you like to share us your favorite skins for your favorite web browser?
Mozilla today announced a new initiative to stimulate innovation in Internet mail and communications. Mozilla plans to develop Internet communications software based on the Thunderbird product, code and brand. The new initiative also aims to nurture a robust developer ecosystem in order to drive improvements through open source and community innovation, in the tradition of the Firefox web browser…
Mozilla will provide US$3 million seed funding to establish this new company.
We can expect Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) very first public builds later this year after Windows Vista Service Pack release. There are not many details revealed so far but there should be 2 Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) versions. One for Windows XP and another one for Windows Vista with some special security features which won’t be available in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) for XP.
It’s been 10 days since the very first Opera 9.5 Alpha release. Today Opera team released Opera 9.5 Post-Alpha version. This build includes lots of bug fixes as well as some minor new things, for example: X button on notifiers. Regardless bug fixes there are still some known issues:
Wand doesn’t save anymore
Yahoo mail beta might crash Opera
Some UNIX packages are missing
Opera 9.5 won’t work on Windows 98/95
 Cursor in source viewer positioned at the end
 Some order lists are displayed as unordered lists
 Line wrapping does not work correctly in some cases, causing overly long lines of text and horizontal scrollbars; often seen at Wikipedia
 Files are often saved with the incorrect file extension
 Setting an external source viewer does not work
 View bar is available in the customization dialog again
 Original text color (inside tables) not reverted when closing content blocker dialog
 Numbers (and borders) not shown in configured speed dial entries
 Text squished/mashed together after removing thumbnail
 Link focused by inline find cannot be activated (Enter doesn’t work after spatnav)
 Show cached images randomly breaks
 Lots of unread messages and drafts after upgrade
